Quick answers
- Who can still win the 2027 Six Nations?
- Six teams can still win the 2027 Six Nations.
- How is this calculated?
- A team is counted as still able to win the Six Nations, or to finish last, when at least one set of results for the matches left would put it there, taking into account that its rivals also play each other. It is counted as sure only when no set of results can take it away. Every way the matches left can be won, drawn or lost is played out, with the championship's own points: four for a win, two for a draw, a bonus point for scoring four tries or more, another for losing by seven points or fewer, and three more for a team that wins all five of its matches, the Grand Slam. Teams level on points are treated cautiously while matches remain: level is enough to stay in, never enough to be sure, because points difference and tries scored only separate teams once the last match is played.
